Ref. 3843 - Packaging with 4 0,5g syringes with 20 applicator tips
Can BIO-C SEALER ION+ be used without gutta-percha
cones?
The technique recommended by the company
is to use it with cones, as the cement is more difficult to remove if needed,
due to its bioceramic characteristics.
What is the setting time of BIO-C SEALER ION+?
The setting time is ≤240 minutes and
depends on local humidity.
Should I leave the canal moist in order to use BIO-C SEALER ION+?
No, moisture, which initiates the material
setting, comes from apical tissues and dentinal canaliculi.
What is the resin used as base in BIO-C SEALER ION+?
BIO- C SEALER ION+ has no
resinous base. Its viscosity is given by a long-chain alcohol, the
polyethylene glycol. Therefore, the product is more biocompatible and
easier to clean.
How should I store BIO-C SEALER ION+?
The storage should be in a dry ventilated
place and it SHOULD NOT BE STORED IN THE FRIDGE.
Can BIO-C SEALER ION+ be used in single cone
techniques?
Yes, the product can be used for both
single and accessory cone techniques.
What is the difference between BIO-C SEALER ION+ and
MTA-Fillapex?
BIO-C SEALER ION+ is a
non-resinous ready-to-use bioceramic cement with 65% bioceramic charge.
MTA-Fillapex is a resinous bioceramic
cement (salicylate resin), pastexpaste, with 13% bioceramic charge in the
product.
How many conduits are possible
witch 1 BIO-C SEALER ION+ syringe?
It
is possible to perform 10 to 12 root canals
1 Is the BIO-C SEALER reabsorbable when
overflowed beyond to the root apex?
The The BIO-SEALER ION + has in its composition
modified calcium silicate and calcium sulfate which, when in contact with
water, are hydrated in the form of hydrated modified calcium silicate
(Ca2MgSi2O7.H2O) and hydrated calcium sulfate (CaSO4. 2H2O), both are poorly
soluble, causing saturation in the physiological environment and consequently, a
precipitation of needle-shaped crystals. The imbrication of these needle-shaped
crystals (CaSO4.2H2O) with modified Ca2MgSi2O7.H2O crystals provides cohesion
and mechanical strength, while promoting desirable expansion.
A portion of the
material in the form of calcium, magnesium and hydroxyl ions can be absorbed
quickly in contact with perirradicular tissues if accidentally spilled. However,
Ca2MgSi2O7.H2O and CaSO4.2H2O are matrices that in the presence of the
radiopacifying content (zirconium oxide) represent the insoluble part of the
product, and exhibit high chemical stability and are hardly absorbed or
solubilized.
How much bioceramic particles are in the BIO-C
SEALER composition?
The product has about 67.5% of bioceramic
content in its composition.
